I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN CONTINUE WATCHING THIS SHOW AFTER THAT. I MEAN I HAVE TO BECAUSE CHILDREN OF EARTH IS GREAT, I HEAR, AND THE PLOT SPOILERS I'VE SEEN ARE TOO INTRIGUING FOR ME NOT TO CONTINUE, BUT WHYYYYYY. WHYYYYYYYYY.
MAJOR Spoilers.
I was pretty sure Owen would die for real by the end of the season because they couldn't possibly keep him in an unfixable state for long when Owen enjoys violence so much. It was farfetched enough that he got out of that collapsed building unscathed. Part of me hoped, though, that they would pull something cheesy and bring him back to life. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS SHOW IS TOO DARK FOR ANYTHING SO HAPPY. (They did it with Rhys. They could have done it with Owen. ;_____;)
But WHY TOSH? She was so badass in that last episode, and I would have loved for her to become defined less by her feelings for Owen. Plus, Tosh and Owen were the two most useful people on the team. WHAT ON EARTH ARE THEY GOING TO DO NOW? Why kill off Tosh? One major character death is painful enough. Two-fifths of the main cast in one episode is overkill. OH GOD.
TORCHWOOD, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
I'm supposing from promo pictures that Rhys is going to play a larger role, and we'll probably be seeing more of John and Andy, but MY ENSEMBLE IS SO CRIPPLED. WHAT ARE THEY DOING? WHAT AAUGH.
(I am hoping a little bit that they'll call Martha in to fill Owen's vacancy. I am a big Martha fan.)
Anyway, other thoughts on the episode:
I liked John more when he came off as just mad.
Nice twist, though.
I thought Gray would call Jack by his real name. Maybe his real first name is also Jack.
The actor for Gray is pretty damn attractive.
Jack was buried for 1900 years and hasn't gone mad? Please.
I am going to miss Owen and Tosh so much.
GODDAMMIT.
